Our Story
The Doris Ottah Foundation was established to carry forward the dream of Doris Ottah, a compassionate woman who believed in the power of education to transform lives. Although Doris Ottah is no longer with us, her vision lives on through the dedication of her children, who are committed to ensuring that her legacy of support and empowerment continues. Doris understood the challenges many students in Ukwuani, Delta State, face in pursuing education due to financial constraints. Her children now work tirelessly to continue her mission, providing support to students who might otherwise miss the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our Vision
A society where every child, regardless of financial background, has access to quality education and the chance to fulfill their potential. We envision a future where poverty is no longer a barrier to learning, and young people are empowered to uplift themselves and their communities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to honor Doris Ottah’s legacy by supporting secondary school students in Ukwuani and beyond who are unable to afford the fees necessary to complete their WAEC exams. By removing this financial barrier, we help students gain essential credentials that open doors to further education, career opportunities, and a brighter future.
What We Believe
At the Doris Ottah Foundation, we believe that:
- Education is a basic right, not a privilege. Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and achieve.
- Empowering youth empowers society. Educated individuals contribute to stronger families, healthier communities, and a more prosperous society.
- No dream should go unrealized due to financial hardship. Through our programs, we strive to ensure that students are never held back from achieving their goals.
